Merry Christmas!

Hello out there!

Well hello there, everyone! I know it's been a while. I don't know how many of you are even still out there! After some prodding by friends and family, I'm back. At least temporarily. :-)

While I was gone, a few things happened around the Louisiana Johnston's home:

• I gracefully and seamlessly transitioned into a new position and now work on our church campus doing disaster relief. I love that: it's 4 miles from home, Jarrod and I eat lunch together, and everything we love is all in one place.
• Jarrod and I went to Dallas for a reunion of Jarrod's degree program.
• Jarrod's mom, aunt, and brother came for a visit!

 

• Jarrod and the band at church did an awesome U2charist service combining traditional liturgy with songs of U2.
• We went to Dallas to see one of Jarrod's dearest friends get married. Jarrod played the guitar during the ceremony.
• I walked 60 miles in the Atlanta 3-day for the Cure. 
• Jarrod and I went to Dallas for the DFW 3-day for the Cure. I walked 60 miles again. 

•  We went to Dallas for Thanksgiving and celebrated with the Texas Johnstons.
• We entered Advent with singing, decorating, and joy.
• We worshipped with Chris Tomlin in Mississippi.

I think you are all caught up now. Needless to say, things have been busy. We've done a lot of traveling to and from Dallas. I've done a lot of walking. We've worked a lot of hours. But we've had a lot of fun. We are loving life and enjoying the relaxation when we get it.
