To read a recap of what our 2011 goals are, please read my original post, January's update, February's update, or March's update.
And here's how we're doing:
- Since January 1, 2011 I have successfully lost 9.2 lbs. and am 2.6 lbs BELOW my goal weight! I couldn't be more thrilled. I've been working very hard to maintain at least my goal weight. I know that with the big move and huge life transformations happening in the next few weeks, I'll struggle, but I am very hopeful that I've built good habits that will translate into a healthy weight even after we move.
- Since January 1, 2011 I have walked 113 days. That's 113 days out of 124. This means I'm walking an average of 91.1% of days and to meet my goal I need to maintain an average of 82% of days! Walking has continued to be incredibly therapeutic for me, especially in the midst of chaos!
- Since January 1, 2011 we have visited one set of "family" and had more family visit us. In January Jarrod and I visited our dear friends Renee and Mike in Atlanta. In February, Aunt Pam and Uncle Marco visited us from Phoenix. Jarrod and I went to Dallas once in March and once in April and were able to spend great time with family. My dad also visited in March from New Jersey. When we made this goal in January we had no idea that we'd be moving in May, but now we are definitely making 2011 the year of family because we're moving closer to family!
- Since January 1, 2011 we have paid off $12,150 in debt. Sadly, we have not made any additional headway this month. Thankfully we have stayed within our budget and planned for some pretty large expenses (rental deposit, moving expenses, and some new furniture at the new place.) Thankfully, we are only 1/3 of the way through the year and are already 1/2 of the way towards our goal. We are both getting raises in Dallas and plan to put every extra penny towards debt. We're very excited about our plan to be debt free by July of 2012!
- Since January 1, 2011 Jarrod has taken 9 yoga classes. He got caught up in work and other things and yoga slipped down in his priorities. I'm doing my best to encourage him to continue or find something new in Dallas.
