Today is the one year anniversary of finding out we were going to have a baby! It's hard to believe it's been one short year since seeing those two lines on that stick, alerting us to the fact that a little baby was growing deep inside me. Our lives were completely thrown around that day. We were two weeks from moving to Texas, starting new jobs, and getting settled in a new town, church, and state. Yet, we were thrilled.
At that time, we had no idea what the year would bring. While we were excited, we were also terrified. It felt like we were making all of the biggest life changes all at the same time. We were cautious and held tight to each other.
It's definitely been a crazy year. We have both started fantastic jobs and are fully living into our calling in Texas. We've slowly made friends and made our house a home. More importantly, we've become a family. We have adjusted to life in Texas and to life with a little boy. It has been a year of such significant change, I'd venture to guess that we'll never have a year with quite so many changes.
We are the luckiest.

Thanks for visiting my blog :) It was hard for me to write about being a working mom (though also cathartic), so I'm really happy my post could give you a little support today. It's awesome you love your job, and it's a good thing for our babies to see hard-working, successful women!
