Baby Beignet meets Louisiana

This post is long overdue. We took Wesley to Louisiana to meet his Louisiana family for the 4th of July. We visited our old offices and church, ate delicious food, and enjoyed time with some of our favorite people in the world. Wesley wore his Beignet shirt for the occasion! 

Meeting so many people really wore him out! He took a little nap with our pastor friend!

We learned on this trip that Wesley LOVES puppies. Our Lucy doesn't really love Wesley, but these boxer puppies would lick Wesley all over and he loved it. Sometimes he would get overwhelmed, but most of the time he loved being licked and would watch the puppies play.

We fed the ducks in Baton Rouge on the 4th of July. Wesley didn't really understand it and it was difficult for me to capture a really good shot, but Jarrod and I had a lot of fun!

Wesley's hair went a little crazy in Louisiana... The humidity makes it wild!

This is Wesley's Louisiana grandma. He LOVED meeting her and she thinks he's pretty great too!
