Describe your relationship with your parents.
My relationship with my father has always been tense, but right now it is probably better than it has been in decades. He's a fantastic granddad to my little man and people who love my boy are on the top of my list. As a child I was definitely a daddy's girl. My dad taught me how to appreciate music, taught me to use chop sticks, and ingrained in me a love of cooking. As a teenager, things were very rough and our relationship was severed while I was in college. As an adult our relationship has continued to be rocky, but it's something I value and work hard to maintain. We are definitely a lot alike and butt heads because of our own stubbornness.
I do not have a relationship with my mom. We haven't spoken since my wedding day, or shortly after.
