Thankfully, I was able to snag these pictures from a friend on a flash drive to share with you.On Saturday Wesley, Jarrod, and I joined with some good friends and their precious little girl and hit up the pumpkin patch! Wesley's girlfriend's church has a pumpkin patch to benefit children and youth ministry. It was relatively empty early on Saturday afternoon so we had the place to ourselves to capture some fantastic shots!
I'm still learning to use the settings on my camera. It was a good experiment. Our friends brought their parents along to take pictures so I got to see the settings she was using (manual) once I uploaded the photos to iphoto. I could see what iso and f/stop the manual settings produced to get the right color. I hope to have time this weekend to play around more.
Wesley has started sticking his tongue out all the time. He's been drooling and chewing for literally 6 months with absolutely no sign of teeth.
Wesley's girlfriend is just a few months older than he is and she's an absolute doll. They are too cute together. I'm convinced she's teaching him to talk more, stand, and eventually he'll be walking and chasing her! My favorite picture is the upper left corner where she's pointing to his mouth. She was telling him how to give kisses.
Of course we had to get some family shots. Jarrod's not quite as good at looking at the camera - he was too busy showing Wesley his pumpkin. I think Wesley just thought it was another toy, but he was very interested in them!
I love these photos of Wesley and mama. I probably say this about every age, but 9 months is such a fun age! Wesley loved looking at the pumpkins, sticking his tongue out, and smiling for the camera.I think we'll probably visit one more pumpkin patch before the season is over. It was just too cute not to!
And for those of you wondering, Wesley plans to be a cowboy for Halloween. He has a plaid shirt and jeans ready to go, but mama needs to get a hat and boots to complete the ensemble. Suggestions on where to buy or how to make boots and a cowboy hat? Other costume suggestions?

So cute!! And I love the orange and blue stripes with the pumpkins. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteCamon is just now getting his teeth, so I bet Wesley's aren't far away. He drooled for about 6 months beforehand too :) And it hasn't been nearly as bad as I've always heard. When he's actually cutting a tooth, he just wants to be entertained instead of playing by himself, and sometimes night sleep is interrupted. But it's not all day crying or anything like I was afraid of. Hope you guys get a tooth soon! :)
And I'm still learning the settings on my camera too. Recently I've been using aperture priority (A) so I choose the aperture and it automatically sets the shutter speed. Seems to be working fairly well! My brother is a very good photographer, so I get hints from him occasionally :)
You all look great, by the way! :)
