For the photo above I tried to get him all cute wrapped in ribbon. You can't really tell because the ribbon is the same color as his outfit. #wardrobefail. :-)
We bought Wesley the Little People Nativity Scene for Advent. While he thinks they are just teething toys, we have been using it to teach him about the Christmas story. He plays and I talk about the importance of each of the animals and people in the nativity.
I played around with different actions - I love this b&w one. I know Christmas tree photos are normally in color to highlight the dimensions, but I love this one in black and white.
But I did it in color as well...
I love this one too because you can really see the stable. Of course Jesus was more than likely born in a cave, but a stable has so much more whimsy.
I really had a lot of fun taking these photos. I probably took 150 or more in a 5-10 minute time period. It took me considerably longer to go through all of the photos and pick which ones to edit. I don't know what, if anything, I'll do with these photos. We just got back copies from our Christmas card photo shoot. I feel like every other week I'm changing out all the photos in the house! It's a shame our little man is just that dang cute. :-)
I cannot wait to reveal Wesley's Christmas outfit. He will wear it to our Christmas eve services and I promise you that it's the cutest thing you've ever seen. You'll have to wait on that, though!
What are some of your must-take photo opportunities this Christmas season?
